Hi, I’m Valentina. I was born and raised in Italy, where food and family are at the heart of everything. In 2016, I moved to London, seeking new opportunities and a chance to make a bigger impact in the world of nutrition.
My love for food began with my grandmother, who didn’t just teach me how to cook, but also how food is meant to nourish, bring people together, and be cherished. She showed me that food is more than just fuel—it’s a way to connect with loved ones, celebrate life’s moments, and even create something beautiful from leftovers. These lessons have stayed with me and fuel my passion for food every day.
In Italy, I earned a Diploma in Social Care, driven by my passion for helping others. Over the years, I’ve developed an empathetic approach to life, always looking for ways to support those around me. I also spent several years competing as an athlete with the "Talarico Karate Team," in national and international championships. It was during this time that I truly understood the power of discipline, balance, and a healthy lifestyle.
In 2016, I made the bold decision to move to London. The city offered me more opportunities to grow, and I soon found myself working in hospitality for nearly a decade. Here, I gained invaluable experience in customer service, refined my communication skills, and developed a natural ability to connect with people. I always put my heart into everything I do, whether it’s through meaningful conversations or offering practical advice that can truly make a difference in someone’s life.
Then, in 2020, life took an unexpected turn. After being made redundant from my role as Catering Supervisor, I decided it was time to follow my true passion: helping others through the power of nutrition. I took the leap and enrolled in an undergraduate course in Dietetics and Nutrition at London Metropolitan University, a decision that changed the course of my career.
My studies have equipped me with a solid understanding of nutrition, the Eatwell Guide, and evidence-based dietary guidelines, all of which I now apply to create personalized nutrition plans that transform lives. I’ve had the privilege of completing two placements within the NHS, where I worked with a diverse range of patients, including those with Type 2 Diabetes, obesity, and elderly individuals requiring nutrition support for neurological conditions.
But it was during my second placement at the Royal London Hospital that I truly found my calling. I worked closely with children facing conditions like Diabetes and IBD, and I knew then that pediatric nutrition was my passion. I also gained valuable experience in the Renal Department and Intensive Care Unit, where I saw first-hand how crucial a dietitian’s role is in managing complex, life-threatening conditions.
This journey has been transformative, and today, my mission is clear: to help families, individuals, and children achieve optimal health through the power of nutrition. I believe that healthy food isn’t just about dieting or restricting; it’s about nourishing your body, feeling energized, and living life to the fullest.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, maintain a healthy weight, or educate your family about the power of nutrition, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Together, we’ll create a plan that works for you, your goals, and your lifestyle.
